We are fortunate in having an excellent Catholic Primary School in the town. The school is open to pupils of all denominations and provides a first-rate education as well as formation in the Catholic faith and Gospel values.
Ladies Group
St. Joseph's Ladies Group is an informal group in the parish which gathers for social, spiritual and support purposes, and is open to all Ladies of the parish.
St. Vincent de Paul Conference
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul seeks to bring charitable relief to the poorest in our society as part of living out Christ's gospel. The Society meets monthly (dates as announced) usually after 10.00am Sunday Mass.

PARISH PASTORAL COMMITTEE
The aims and objectives of the Parish Pastoral Committee are:
a. To assist and support the Parish Priest in the pastoral administration of the parish.
b. To provide a means of representing the views of parishioners to the Parish Priest and/or the Deanery Pastoral Council and/or the Diocesan Pastoral Council.
c. To liaise with the other Parish Pastoral Committees in the parishes with which St Joseph’s shares a Parish Priest.
d. To encourage the active participation of parishioners in the life of the parish.
e. To assist in promoting a sense of unity within the parish.
f. To assist in the promotion and organisation of pastoral activities in the life of the parish.
g. To promote ecumenism and witness to gospel values within the wider community.
PARISH FINANCE COMMITTEE
The aims and objectives of the Parish Finance Committee are:
a. To assist & support the Parish Priest in the financial administration of the parish, and in the oversight of matters of finance, building and fabric maintenance, and health and safety issues.
b. To provide a means of representing the views of parishioners to the Parish Priest on matters of finance, building and fabric maintenance, and health and safety, and to ensure that parishioners take ownership of such matters.
c. To ensure that all financial matters concerning the parish are transparent and conducted with proper care and attention to due process.
